Dina Paulista performs fado in Portuguese while guiding the audience in English through the heart of the genre: its stories, emotions and historical layers.
The evening draws on historical research developed with the Museu do Fado and musicologist Rui Vieira Nery, part of the process that led to fado's recognition as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Who is Dina Paulista
A graduate of VGIK, a photographer, Portuguese language teacher and fado singer, Dina brings together two worlds, Russian and Portuguese, and tells their story through music.
Features of the evening: intimate setting, limited seating, live fado performances with guided storytelling, archival photographs and visuals.
