ABOUT THE EVENT
This is not just a concert
Dina Paulista performs fado in Portuguese while leading the audience in English through the heart of the genre - its stories, emotions, and historical layers.
Like a guided journey, this is a live, dialog-based experience where music, memory, and conversation flow together.
Archival photographs and video sequences will appear on the screen, creating the effect of complete immersion in the atmosphere of Lisbon.
The concert will take place at All Portugal Space, a beautiful and intimate venue in Lisbon, designed for cultural and creative experiences.
*Language note: The evening is held in English as a shared language for Lisbon’s international audience.
At the same time, Dina naturally moves between English, Portuguese, and Russian when responding to the audience or sharing personal reflections.
Language here is not a barrier, but a bridge: no translation needed, just presence.
What you will experience
Dina Paulista will guide you through the heart of fado. The music, stories and emotions behind it.
She will perform iconic melodies accompanied by traditional instruments, while sharing personal memories from her childhood in a real Lisbon fado house.
The performance is enriched with archival photographs and visuals to create a feeling of deep immersion.
The evening draws on historical research developed in collaboration with the Museu do Fado and musicologist Rui Vieira Nery during the process that led to fado’s recognition as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Why this evening is special
FATUM is not just a concert. It’s an intimate encounter with Lisbon’s soul.
You won’t hear fado as a genre. You’ll hear it as a voice of memory, identity, and emotion.
The format is immersive, personal, and atmospheric. It is a blend of live music, storytelling and visuals,
created for attentive listeners, not spectators.
Who is Dina Paulista

Dina grew up in a real Lisbon fado house where her parents and their friends sang together.
Her first lullabies were fado songs. She carries those memories into her performances today.
A graduate of VGIK, a photographer, Portuguese language teacher and fado singer, Dina brings together two worlds: Russian and Portuguese. And tells their story through music.
Dina does not simply perform fado - she researches it, lives it, and translates it for those discovering Lisbon beyond clichés.
Why Lisbon & fado are inseparable
“Fado is not a genre. It’s the breath of the city,” says Dina.
You can hear it in every alleyway, feel it in every courtyard, glimpse it in every old window.
To sing fado is to speak with your soul.
And as long as the soul lives, fado lives too.
